Yet "der Zentral" is remarkable not only for its resting places of world-famous personalities. Between the graves of Beethoven, Strauss and Schubert, the marble tablets for politicians and scientists, life flourishes. Kestrels, foxes and badgers, rare bird species, even deer live in the extensive area of the Central Cemetery.
